What's this trip about?

Best known as the Savage Mountain Trek, the Salkantay hike is not just the long trail. This short 2-day trip takes you there, out of the traditional Cusco, to the stunning Andean mountain range. Day one is to climb the emblematic glacier Humantay Lake nestled in the same-named Mountain and indulge with a hot drink at the Sky Camp igloos, where you spend the night. The next day is to overtake the seven snakes trail to the base of Salkantay Peak for eye-catching takes on its north and west sides. Shining above 6,000 meters, it’s the second-highest in the region. You’ll also be on a small co-hiker group and mentor guide, making this a more personal adventure. So make sure to buck this trip on your upcoming vacation!
