Eco-friendly: All camps have education, community development, community infrastructure and conservation.100% green. In camps guests are all issued with reusable water bottles in an effort to reduce plastic consumption. Water is purified and distributed accordingly. $10/ bed night is donated by African Bush Camps to fund the operations of African Bush Camps Foundation which allows all other funds generated and raised to be utilized 100% on foundation and conservation projects within the communities where we operate. The properties are completely solar-powered and 80% of the water used in camp is recycled.
Child policy: Children 7-11 can be accommodated, maximum 2 adults and 2 children.
Child-friendly: Thorntree has THE CUB CLUB From nature walks around camp and storytelling to cultural arts and crafts and cub club cooking classes. The children focused cub club creates a fun and educational environment for children on safari. The Child Specialist Guides offer practical and educational activities for the kids and expeditions that will delight every generation. Children minders are on request.
Khwai Tented Camp – ages 7 and above. Room type is tents. Children in their own tent. Children 7-11 will be in their own tents adjoining. Linyanti Ebony – no age restriction. Room type is family tents, there is one two-bedroom family tent with a self-contained lounge area so maximum 2 adults and 2 children for children 7-11. Thorntree River Lodge – no age restriction. Room type is Family tents, there are 2 family suites for children 7-11.
